CEREC same-day restorations allows our dentists and team to provide you with a high-quality, custom-made restoration in just one appointment. This versatile treatment technique relies on CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing) technology and may be used in a wide range of treatments to restore and enhance your smile. CEREC uses advanced and highly precise scanning technology, eliminating the need for messy impressions as well as uncomfortable temporaries. Your restoration is also created using high-quality porcelain material that is carefully matched to your tooth color to give you the most natural result possible.
During your appointment, our dentists will:
- Examine your teeth to determine an appropriate treatment plan
- Remove any weakened or decayed tooth material
- Capture a digital picture of your mouth
- Convert the picture into a 3D model on the computer screen using CAD/CAM software
- Create your restoration using the 3D model
- Immediately mill your restoration from a block of material that matches the color of your natural teeth
Within a matter of minutes, your new restoration will be complete! Dr. Brett Barney, Dr. Jonathan Hall and Dr. Aaron Charpentier will check your restoration to ensure that it fits properly before bonding it into place and polishing it.
